Rental Bookings Questions

How long does the booking process take?

This depends solely on the response rate of the lister and how often they are online or how often the lister checks their email account.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We use Stripe to process payments online and it ensures that all payments are processed via the popular Credit and Debit Card facilitators. MasterCard, VISA, American Express, etc. In the even that you are unable to pay via your credit/debit card, we ask that you contact us immediately. We have noticed that some banks do not allow some corporate cards as well as other banks to make payments online especially on a site they are not familiar with. If you see a notice from the payment page saying “payment failed”, please contact your bank immediately.

Also, you can transfer the funds to any of our international and home-based accounts and we will put you through.

What do I do if I do not receive a response from the lister?

In the event that all measures have been exhausted in the attempt to get the lister to respond to your booking request, we will first step in to see how we can assist you with contacting the lister. More, if we are unsuccessful, we will gladly refund you in full for the amounts you have paid up to that point as guided by our Terms and Conditions. Ordinarily, if the negotiations have begun, we may only refund you the booking fees (if any were charged) and half of the Pelow fees.

Can I use more than one payment method to pay for a reservation?

Primarily, you may use another payment method to pay for the reservation. You do not pay for the reservation until the lister accepts booking.

How do I get paid as a lister on Pelow?

After payment is made, you will have to wait for a minimum payout threshold to be met before you can request withdrawal; upon which you can request payout to your Stripe account, Skrill account or Wire Transfer. Wire Transfer would most likely be more expensive for you as you are more likely to have the payment for the transfer covered from your end. Nevertheless, in most cases, you would be able to receive your monies without getting any transfer fees levied upon you.

How do I submit a bid on a property for sale on Pelow?

If you are satisfied with the property and you are interested in bidding you may click on “Request to Purchase” to formally submit your bid to the lister, who is sometimes the Realtor or Property Developer or Landlord. Often, these listers require that you contact them via Pelow only. They do this so as to ensure that those reaching out to them are legitimate.

Also, do not be discouraged when you haven’t seen all the pictures because listers do this when they have many properties and are interested in inviting you to come for inspections.

How do I cancel negotiations on a property I am bidding on?

When submitting bids on Pelow for a sale property, you may realize that the negotiations aren’t going anywhere and that you need to end things with the lister. In that case, you may end your bidding and/or negotiations with the lister amicably. You don’t have to take any special action in order to accomplish this feat.

How do I know the listings are legitimate?

As opposed to traditional social media and other property listing platforms, we do our best to review every listing before they are posted and we try to keep our community of listers small so as to better ensure quality assurance is a priority. However, there might be concerns or worries as to if the property is still available as of when you started bidding. In this case, we will always refund monies for any listing on our platform that is fraudulent or no longer available.

Can I pay for a sale listing on Pelow?

No, you may not pay for a listing directly on Pelow as it is against our policies and we have no process in place to accommodate it.

How can I list my property to sell on Pelow?

Donations campaigns listings questions

What are the requirements to running a donations campaign on Pelow?

It is imperative that you have proof while you are adding a new donations campaign listing that you have some kind of ownership or substantial affiliation with the property in question. We do not want people getting swindled on our platform.

More so, we ask that you provide pictures and video links as well. It could be you need assistance with rent, mortgage, building or renovating a community school or infrastructure. In all these case, it is easy and straightforward to add your listing if you have all the necessary evidence to show “substantial affiliation”.

How do I get my campaign featured?

What should I do if I suspect that the donations campaign is suspicious?

We do our best to make sure that the listing is as legitimate as can be given the evidence in front of us. However, human error may prevail. In that case, if you have strong reasons to believe that a donations campaign listing may be suspicious, you may reach out to us at tech@pelowapp.com and we will conduct an expedient and detailed investigation.

Do I have to wait to reach my goals before withdrawing funds from my campaign proceeds?

All monies received via your campaign are kept with us and we have full discretion as to whether you should be given the ability to withdraw all or part of the proceeds from the campaign funds. However, we believe one of the best ways to make your case is if you can get a confirmation or a “go-ahead” from 2 or more of your donors to withdraw your campaign funds without reaching the campaign goals in the first place.

How do I share updates with my donors?

You have access to the data of the donors in your campaign and how much they contributed. Governed by our Terms and Conditions as we as our Privacy Policy, you would have the ability to reach out to them and give them updates.
